Biographical Information
I studied for a BA and MA in English Literature from Hindu College, University of Delhi. My doctoral project, supervised by Professor Priya Gopal, examines anticaste intellectual thought, religion, and the idea of community in northwestern India. It engages with Anticaste pedagogy, print cultures, and the intellectual legacy of Mangoo Ram Mugowalia. I am interested in how political ideas and memory travels--across borders and archives--and how they shape social imaginaries. Through my project, I am thinking about what it means to listen to histories that have been marginalised, and how to hold an ethical space for them in contemporary scholarship.
Before arriving for a PhD in Cambridge, I have worked at The 1947 Partition Archive, The Partition Museum Delhi, and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.
